WAREHOUSE
AND PACKAGING
At present CO.DE.TEX.
assist some clients by performing warehousing
at their Andezeno, Castiglion Fiorentino, Reggio
Emilia and Verona plants.
The geographic location of these plants is strategically
planned for the promotion of the service at
our plants.
All pieces are located, collected, possibly
cut to length, packaged in heat-sealed polythene
and forwarded following the client’s specifications.
In order to reduce collection errors to a minimum,
radio frequency terminals are used that notably
reduce delivery times.
If requested, the warehouse service also deals
with lining, thermal-adhesive, accessories and
haberdashery that will be forwarded together
with the fabric lots.
At the Reggio Emilia plant a totally automated
warehouse is present for the handling of accessories
and haberdashery stocks.
The necessary administrative procedures for
shipments abroad (or following agreements between
the client and the garment manufacturers) are
directly carried out by CO.DE.TEX.,
thus guaranteeing the full respect of the regulations
in force.
From the beginning of 2004 customs warehouses
will be available at our plants.
Such deposits are aimed at stocking goods coming
from extra European areas and inspecting them
without having to undergo import duties or various
marketing policy measurements. Goods whose final
use is uncertain, those that undergo high duties
and those taxed that can be temporarily stored
without being cleared or taxed by customs. Products
imported from a foreign country can remain in
our custom warehouse with no time limits.
Those clients who are interested in delaying
the collection of the goods or build a stock
for a subsequent distribution can, through this
mean and in addition to the other advantages
(such as storage in suitable protected areas)
also delay the negative cash outgoing deriving
from the payment of customs duties linked to
the importation procedures.
